Lance could see the headlines now. Woman Mauled by Domestic Cat As Officers Watch. Stan was still oozing a little blood from his left ear and was backing toward the door slowly.
“Miss… Gin,” Lance said, slowly inching his way forward to put himself between her and the cat, “do you have a blanket or something we can wrap Elsie in until we can get her in the car?”
“No. She’s normally not like this, and I don’t have anything with me.” Gin was not taking her eyes off the cat, either.
He got the feeling the cat was like this a lot. “Dr. Evans, do you have something that Miss Cary can use to get the cat out of your house?”
Gin watched as EDR waved his hand toward the closet and Elsie launched herself toward him. Everyone stood silently and watched as Elsie latched onto his arm with her teeth, wrapping her front and back paws around his forearm. He let out a shrill, girl-like scream and tried to shake her off. Stella, finally unable to hold it in any longer, burst out laughing as the cat made her way, with tooth and claw, to the top of Doctor Boy’s head.
Lance looked at Gin, who was now standing with her hands on her hips and a wry smile on her lips, enjoying the show. Stan took the opportunity to say loudly, “I’ll be in the hall!” Lance heard the door open and close behind him. Lance turned back toward Doctor Boy and had to work really hard to fight back a grin as he walked over and picked the cat off his head. He noticed the blood trails left by the cat’s claws, but knew the cat wouldn’t hurt him. He did, however, pick up on the cat’s serious dislike for Doctor Boy. Smart cat.

I LOVED this book! The story was an easy and fun read with a well-developed plot and an extremely likeable cast of characters. I found the heroine, Gin, to be refreshing and her best friend, Stella, to be full of surprises. I hope there's a sequel because the characters are quite compelling and work together to create an adventurous atmosphere. I would love to read more about them!Product details

I LOVED this book! The story was an easy and fun read with a well-developed plot and an extremely likeable cast of characters.
