Best book of all time. However this publisher has added a back page description with the words superficial, dogma, absurd and finally ascribes the tale to the illuminati. This is the only publisher saying there's a tie to the illuminti (like Saint Germain is Illuminati, please).They try to be nice and back pedal with the words, "It's still a good read." If anybody cares, I'll scan the back page and post it. I understand the illuminati to be amongst the more evil forces in this world and this book in contrast is constantly about the good. It's like scrapping off the Ferrari badges on your Ferrari and putting on Ford Pinto along with a bumper sticker that says piece of Sh#t on the back. If you're not trying to be funny for some obscure reason, then I conclude there is something wrong with that back page scenario. And by the way, I hate books that are scanned, computer OCRd, and then republished without care. I love this book and if I ever republished it (anyone can it's over the 100 hundred year mark) it would be far different. Also, the degrees go down from 5 to 1 whereas the Masonic degrees go up to 33. This book is not Masonic or Illuminati. Anyway, whatever I'm getting used to this kind of respect level in todays age of mediocrity.

This is one of my favorite books. I used to have an older edition of it which I read many times. This new edition by Cornerstone Publishers has been really badly proof read, if at all! Sometimes things get quite garbled. If you care about such things you may want to search for a used copy of an older edition.

classic for esoteric students!
This book is written as a work of fiction yet the amount of esoteric knowledge laid bare in this book is amazing. I highly enjoyed it and didn't want to put it down.

Definitely a must read for anyone interested in the occult or esoteric arts in general.

The only bad thing i can say is that the kindle version needed some serious editing a lot of the font was miss-sized.
Excellent book
Enchanting book! Well written, could not put down. A classic of metaphysical literature! I first read it for the story line, then for the deeper mysteries. Describes the step by step process of initiation and preparation for it, with a touch of romanticism to it. For the most part set in 19th century Paris and old Europe, a time when Saint Germain was touring the courts and cities of the continent. I can just see the palaces, streets and alleys where it all took place, feels so tangible. Reading is like being part of the cycles of initiation and instruction that the hero undergoes. Helps to set the aspirations higher.

A book in the same genre is Quest for the Lost Name A Transformational Thriller of Metaphysical and Visionary Fantasy, Soulmate Romance, Esoteric Initiation, and New Age Spirituality (Metaphysical Fiction Series Book 1), which describes the deep mysteries of life, overcoming death and mastering life. It's the modern version of the Brother of the Third degree.
